KS2 SAT Scores are a good indication of the performance of the school.
Level 4 is the ideal level that the Government would like all pupils to have reached by age 11.
In Mathematics, 86% of children at this school achieved Level 4 or better compared to 76% nationally. This means our pupils do
10% better than all children nationally.
In Science, 98% of our children achieved Level 4 or better which is 12% better than the national average of 76%
In English, 90% of our children achieved Level 4 or better which is 11% better than the national average of 79%
English can be further broken down into Reading and Writing. In reading, 92% get L4 or better compared to 83% nationally and in
writing 84% get L4 or better compared to 67% nationally. However, the really encouraging figures are the numbers of children getting the maximum Level 5. In reading 66% of children at this school get the maximum score possible compared to 47% nationally, and in writing 34% get the top score compared to 18% nationally.
As you can imagine, we are delighted with these results, all of which are at least 10% better than the national average and especially pleased with the higher scores in English. All the children in Year 6 are to be congratulated on their achievements this year. We are very proud of them.
I am also grateful for the efforts of their teachers both this year and in earlier years who have contributed to these scores which reflect the learning in the whole of Key Stage 2, namely Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.
