This year, 2003, Grendon Underwood School chose to support Comic Relief as our main charity.
An outstanding amount in excess of £700 was raised by the children in a variety of
ways:
-
A comic and a magazine were produced and sold by different groups of children
-
Red noses were sold
-
There was a knockout hockey tournament between 15 teams
-
On the day itself we held a talent show including a hair makeover competition. The winner had the opportunity to practice on the Deputy Headteacher.
You can see the photographs of her efforts here.
-
Over £100 was raised by the sweepstake to guess the time of birth of Mrs Tutton's baby which so many of you kindly supported.

Well done and thank you to everybody who helped or supported the Comic Relief event. You have done a fantastic job and your money will make a real difference to poor people in the UK and Africa.
