Year 6
Barton Hall 28th April - 2nd May 2003
This is a report on Year 6's trip to Barton Hall 3D Adventure Camp in Devon.
ACCOMMODATION
We stayed in two double-sided lines of chalets, which had five chalets on each side, with three, to four children in each one. They had one main room, which had the beds in, and one large chest of drawers and one small. There was one room two meters by one meter square, which had a cupboard in it for storage. The last room was the bathroom; it was just a simple bathroom with a toilet, sink and bath in each one.

The food generally was very good with a good variety every day. There was a cooked breakfast waiting for us every morning, and for lunch and tea there was something different from chicken to vegetarian sausages served with chips, peas or both. There was a range of puddings, chocolate cake to biscuits and if that was not enough there was a salad bar and soup as well!
ACTIVITIES
There was a range of activities to suit everyone there were high ones such as the zip wire, high ropes and abseiling. There were low ones such as low ropes and map reading and most of us tried everything. The instructors were so cool and always wanted to have a bit of a laugh. Our group leader was called James (you can see his picture in the Instructor Picture Page). He was really cool and everybody liked him!
There were also six ICT suites, each one named after a river. There were eleven computers in each one, which we used to race cars on, create animations and make advertisements.

winners of the car racing activity below.
We had five activity sessions each day, two in the morning, two in the afternoon and one in the evening.
SUMMARY
We all had a really good week but we missed our families a bit. The teachers and instructors did their best to make sure we had a great time and Year 6 are happy to say that they succeeded!
