This web page
celebrates the work we
have done during Art Week 2006.
Our inspiration has been the work of William
Shakespeare, which classes studied the week before in Literacy.
Additionally, in assembly we have all heard the
stories of:
- A Mid summer Nights Dream
- Romeo and Juliet
and
- Henry V.

Shakespear Posters
5W and 5D have been using Photoshop
Elements to make posters for Shakespeare plays. The art technician from
Waddesdon Secondary school, photographed the children in costumes that they had
brought in and artefacts for their posters. He then helped them to create
posters using a combination of the images and text which will be printed up for
the exhibition.

Ceramics
Meanwhile, 6L were starting a mosaic of Macbeth with Lucy Howell, another
artist. Children’s designs of the witches, goblet, clown and daggers were
combined to produce a pair of mosaics to go either side of the IT room door. The
second was made by 6M the next day and is a scene from the Tempest.
You might have heard the live broadcast from 6L by Mix 96 on Monday morning
(27/02/06). |

Clay Masks
Sarah Davis worked with us last year on developing ceramics in Y5, and staff
training, but this year she has come back and made masks out of clay with Y1 and
6L.

A big thank you to Mark Kelsey who came in to talk
to Y4 about his work as a Graphic Designer.
